Isaac's finally blown through my area. And I mean finally! At one point, it was moving a 10th of a mile in 3 hours which is why St. Tammany and Baton Rouge got pounded.
My area seriously lucked out since the storm landed and shifted in such a way that we were 15-20 miles outside of the strike zone. We got about 3" of rain and A LOT of wind with gusts up to 50mph.
The only damage was to our poor trees; they were stripped of the majority of their leaves, and there were a few downed branches we had to chase down. (Some of those branches were a full 1/2 miles down the road!)
Once everything dries out a bit, we have mounds of leaves to rake up. The downside to having 20 trees on the property. :P
We never lost power completely, but did have more brown outs then I could even count. We were extremely fortunate there considering half the state is without power at this point.
