Jonathan: In the morning, Jonathan comes to Sydney's room with waffles and sausage. Unlike the other days he doesn't just leave her breakfast and leave. He raps sharply on her bedroom door and hopes her roommate won't be to put out
Sydney: Sydney opens the door, pushing some hair out of her face, and yawning a little. She still looks like she hasn't been sleeping, but other than that, she's pretty well.
Jonathan : "Morning Syd, I've brought breakfast for you. You'll eat and then get ready to go on an outing. I have a few errands and I'd like for you to accompany me," Jonathan tells her in a firm voice. He has her Ethics class slave badge on the tray with her breakfast
Sydney: Sydney nods obediently and takes the tray and the badge and after a few minutes, she's ready to go.
Jonathan: Jonathan is impressed, both with how quick that was and with how well Sydney is taking to the slave role.
"All right, I have a few items to pick up in town, books, some snacks, and things like that. You are to hold my packages and remain quiet, understood?"
Sydney: Sydney nods again, she understands. She hates this assignment, but she understands.
Jonathan: In town, Jonathan stops in the Emporium for crackers, cereal and a package of Oreos. He pays for them and hands them to Sydney. When the NPC sales clerk says good morning to Sydney Jonathan looks at her and gives a nod, "Say hello to the nice lady Syd," he tells her
Sydney: Sydney carries the things he's handing to her. "Hello." Sydney says quietly, meekly. It's just another alias, she tells herself, she's done worse.
Jonathan: They continue on to an NPC bookstore where Jonathan looks at several titles he's been considering purchasing for some time before deciding on only two of them. This sales clerk says hello as well.
Sydney: Sydney carries the books as well as the food, staying behind him. She's surprisingly calm at the moment
Jonathan: "Good job Syd, I didn't even have to remind you not to say anything," he tells her. They shop at a few more places, Jonathan watching out for how much Sydney's carrying before Jonathan says, "Seeing as you've been so good all day, I think I should treat you to lunch. Would you like that? You may speak"
Sydney: "If you would like to, Mr. Crane." Sydney says like a shy twelve year old or something, but sometimes she does feel like an insecure child.
Jonathan: "All right then, we'll eat at the diner." At the diner, Jonathan orders for both of them, "I’ll have a turkey sandwich with fries and a coke and Syd will have the grilled tuna and a few grilled vegetables skewers. Syd what would you like to drink?"
Sydney: "Just water, please." Sydney says politely. She's still pretty calm, though not feeling all that well. She feels like a blimp too.
Jonathan: "Syd will have water with her meal and please bring us the dessert menu with our meals."
Sydney: Syd just stared at the floor and stayed quiet. This would all be over soon, she tells herself.
Jonathan: Jonathan eats his lunch quietly, only occasionally pressing Sydney for conversation. "Syd," he tells her, "I expect you to eat your entire lunch."
Sydney: Sydney nods obediently. She will eat it all. She just eats slower than he does.
Jonathan: "Maybe we can do something you want to after we return everything to the dorms? We'll still have at least a few hors left on the assignment. You may speak"
Sydney: "Okay." Sydney says. "We can do something if you'd like."
Jonathan: "What would you like to do Syd?"
Sydney: "Maybe watch a movie or something, something relaxing. I'm tired."
Jonathan: "A movie sounds nice we can watch something in the Common Room. Yours probably, I know people on my floor. Are you sleeping all right? You may speak"
Sydney: "I guess..." Sydney says. "I'll be alright."
Jonathan: Jonathan takes off his Master badge and sets it down on the table between them, "are you sure you're okay? We can cut this early; it's been a pretty long day. I got you up really early and we've been shopping all day."
Sydney: "I'm okay..." Sydney says. "I've had worse." she says. "Just little things..."
Jonathan: "Today couldn't have helped, physically. I could rub your feet for you during the movie if you like? I kind of feel bad about making you carrying packages and run all over town now. And, I mean, I know we aren’t friends or anything Sydney, but you can talk to me, you really can."
Sydney: Sydney forces a smile. "I'm alright, really." she tells him. She hasn't really made many friends, she mostly keeps to herself. "Don't feel bad, it was an assignment. And believe me, I've felt worse."
Jonathan: "Yeah, I'm sure, but, I'm just that kind of guy I guess. If I can ever do anything to help, just let me know okay?" he tells her
Sydney: Sydney nods. "Don't...take it personal, I don't let anyone know me."
Jonathan: "That's understandable; I have met your father you know. I pretty much assumed you'd be a closed off person.
Now, what do you say we finish up this assignment with foot rubs, ice cream and a movie? Maybe a spy flick? God, I feel like I'm your best girlfriend or something. I swear you don’t have to talk to me about cute boys."
Sydney: Sydney laughs a little. "Uh I'm not sure about the spy movie." she says, she has had enough of spy stuff for awhile. "We could watch Sorority Boys?"
Jonathan: "Okay, although I will never forgive you for denying me some good Sean Connery era James Bond. So Sorority Boys in the common room let me pay here and we'll get to it," he tells her putting his Master's badge back on, "stay here Syd."
