Brushing off some more rust.
I feel like the proverbial blade of my writing abilities is dull. Dull and covered in rust. Wallowing around in my own fic ideas doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere. Everytime I come up with a way to further the plot in a interesting way, I look back and realize it's the same re-hashed videogame-induced crap. My mind seems to be hard wired to RPG and Anime storylines and fights but dammit, acrobatic stunts and killing 50 billion people in one attack 70% of the time just doesn't work when it comes to writing. Fuck, it doesn't honestly work in any setting worth it's salt.
So, anyone mind giving me a hand? Give me a character, setting, circumstance, absolutely anything to write a scene with because I just keep coming up with the same crap in the same vein. It should help me grind off the rust and mold the blade into a better cutting implement.
