"
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while. It's something
unpredictable, but in the end it's right... I hope you had the time of
your life." To the Class of 2006,
Alright, leave it to me to be the depressing one...but we have one year
left class of '06 so let's make it wonderful. Talk and meet up with
friends you haven't seen since middle school. Get close to the friends
you made the last three years because chances are good you won't see
many of them until your 10 year reunion. And if you have any grudges or
friendships that have been broken then fix them now, because you'll
always regret not having those people in your life for your senior
year. Go to the school functions; games, dances, assemblies, etc.
because you're never going to get another chance to...and you'll have
missed a surprisingly important part of your life that you will never be
able to experience in the future. The memories you make with your
friends at those school functions will help you get through your first
year of college or work, whatever it may be that you decide to do. Even
though you may hate high school now and wish nothing more than to be
done with it forever because it has been nothing but hell for you, that
may actually change later in life and you'll have regrets. Think about
it, hasn't there been at least one person, be it classmate, teacher,
counselor, principal, a lunch lady, or even a custodian who has touched
your life in some microscopic way? And yes, it may be depressing, and
you certainly don't want to begin thinking about it, but you need to,
because the end is coming soon and you do deserve to have the time of your
life.
