Moving!
I finally signed on my new place today (after putting down half the deposit a couple weeks ago). I got cold feet, and un-arranged everything (utilities, bed delivery, insurance) yesterday, only to have to re-arrange it today. Tee Hee. It's just hard to commit to a lease when a) I left 2 out of my 3 past leases months early and b) life has been so dynamic and unpredictable lately. Factor in the prices out here ($1125/mo for a STUDIO!...sheesh...) and YIKES. I think cold feet was perfectly understandable. Thankfully, Rick spent last night helping me look at other options (I was useless on my own, being so frustrated by the whole apt search thing), so I don't feel like I'm making a terrible choice.
But now I'm signed, and I start moving in tomorrow. It'll be fun to be creative with the small space and at least I won't be able to buy too much crap... I'll have no place to put it! I'll still have a ton of stuff to buy, though, as I came out here with the expectation of having most household goods provided... and as much as shopping can be fun, spending so much money will certainly stress me out at points. I'm also worried about not having a wall b/w me and the buns at night, as they are loud little munkies who think nighttime is playtime.
Overall, it'll be a good thing: No roommates! I can bring friends over! I can wander about naked! Fun fun!
