Mommy's a-SO Cool!!
Yay for me! I landed me a new job today! Easy as pie....or cupcakes even.
Today, I had an interview with Seattle's Best Coffee down on 1st and Pike St. right by the market (great location indeed!!). I had only applied on Saturday morning and they wanted me to come in today. Mommy was a-shock!! The application was the weirdest (but most fun) application I've EVER filled out. All it consisted of was a space to write my name, address, birthdate, and a huge box that took up half a page. And guess what I had to do in the box?? I had to describe myself.........IN CRAYON!! How fun was that??
So, anyhow....I went in for my interview today at 1:00pm. The guy sat down with me and we did the normal interview stuff...."tell me about yourself, what do you like about your job, what does your job title entail, yadda yadda yadda". Then, after that portion of the interview was done, he had me work behind the bar for about half an hour, greeting customers, making drinks, and getting to know the staff. I must've wowed them and him; because afterwards, he sat me down and offered me the job! And here's the best part....he thinks I'm too qualified to start off as a barista. So, he's gonna start me off at a supervisor level!! I couldn't help but think "Oh my gawd! I must rock!" So, in a few weeks, he wants me to call back and help him hammer out a schedule.
I'm so stoked! I really haven't been happy working at the Gymboree up here. It's good money and all, but even the money isn't making me happy. I think if I'm to advance or move up in the world, I have to work at job where I enjoy it and I WANT to work hard to move up. I don't feel like that at Gymboree. So, it's time to go. AND I can finally get away from a mall environment and the ingunce that roam the mall. So keep your fingers crossed and pray that everything goes through and goes great with SBC!
