Originally uploaded by yvonne_dI had about 6 hours in DC, since I caught the train down from Baltimore on my second day there. I didn't pick up a map, and I didn't figure out the public transit, and silly me, left my ATM card at my friend's house. So, I wandered around, using the general marker signs, and walked much further than I ought in the glaring sun, probably at least 5 miles. I had sun blisters on my right shoulder when I got back to B-more! But now I can say I've been to DC. And here's the proof! (sunburn definitely in progress) . I also went to the National Museum of the American Indian (no pics) and the US Botanical Gardens (lots of flower pics).
