They sat on the couch, soft fabric accommodating their weight, their bodies relaxed into the warm surface.
‘Look at them...’-commented Yesung, brows furrowing as he observed Eeteuk and Kangin move from the kitchen to the living room; Kangin hanging off Eeteuk’s shoulders as the elder man protested feebly to something Kangin had suggested.
Kibum hummed back in agreement without lifting his eyes from the paperback in his hands. Yesung on the other hand watched the two men progressing past him, Eeteuk’s voice murmuring the next day’s schedule as the two men shuffled into the hallway.
‘If they were any more obvious...’-mumbled the man, voice showing notes of annoyance.
‘It’s called denial.’-noted Kibum while flipping to the next page. Yesung gave him a wary glance before turning back to watch the retreating backs of the two people most likely to tie the knot.
With each other.
Yesung massaged his face, a quiet moan escaping his throat as he tried to brush aside the exhaustion. Next to him Kibum shifted and looked up, this going unnoticed by Yesung whose thoughts about KangTeuk were suddenly interrupted by a loud bang as someone burst through the front door of their apartment.
‘Stupid man, can’t you read between the lines!’-erupted Heechul as he made his way into the living room without bothering to dress down, the beige carpet staining instantly beneath his feet. Yesung turned to look at the door left wide open and sure enough, a few moments later, a disgruntled Siwon made his was inside, noiselessly closing the door behind himself.
Yesung watched him follow the older, words hard to make out but from Siwon’s gentle tone, Yesung could tell.
They were together.
‘So dramatic...’-he grumbled.
‘It’s their style.’-observed Kibum while putting the book to the side.
Yesung nodded, pulling at the collar of his shirt.
‘But isn’t it too hot in here?’-he asked, fingers slipping to undo the top buttons.
‘I want a pie!’-announced Donghae’s voice and soon after followed the boy’s body into the living room on the way to the kitchen.
‘The mathematical constant?’-asked Eunhyuk.
‘Pie?’-asked back Donghae while turning to look at his companion, eyes rounded in slight confusion.
‘Pi.’-confirmed Eunhyuk
‘I want one pie.’-demanded Donghae, hands tugging at Eunhyuk’s shirt.
‘Three point one, four.’-argued Eunhyuk, stressing each number.
‘One and a half.’ -insisted Donghae, their conversation turning to barter.
‘Two Two.’-offered Eunhyuk and for a moment they were silent.
Then Donghae smiled and pulled Eunhyuk’s shirt again, this time harder, moving out of the room.
Destination: unknown.
Yesung stared at the spot they had vacated and took in a deep breath.
‘That’s so...’-he tried but couldn’t find the words to finish.
‘Them’-inserted Kibum, hovering just a few centimetres from Yesung whose eyes widened in realisation of their proximity.
Kibum’s lips twisted into a smile, fingers brushing along Yesung’s collarbone and pulling down on the remaining buttons of the man’s shirt.
‘But isn’t it hot in here?’

The 'One and a Half' and 'Two Two' is a reference to a popular Korean song and the band that sung it in 1994 ~ very popular...
If the EunHae conversation seems confusing...it should be...but there is twisted...very twisted logic to the whole thing which I'm secretly proud of!
