Web Hosting and Other Stuff
We have survived another year! And I haven't borked up the site too much! There maybe some changes coming in the future, the webmistress of WIKTT was kind enough to give me the name of her programmer (Bors) and he is looking into whether we can fix up Ashwinder/Sycophant Hex a bit or not and we've had another lovely programmer volunteer to look at the site as well to see if she can figure stuff out.
Thanks to everyone's generousity, we raised raised a little over $220.00 with the Liberapay, so we're good on webhosting fees which I just paid for 2020.
Sycophant Hex has always been free to use, and it is because of your generous nature that we are able to continue to support a place where you can find the fan fiction you would like to read for free.
As always, we understand if you are unable to donate - heck life can sometimes suck the marrow right from your bones, so if you haven't the funds, please don't sweat it. I'm just glad we can be here for another year!

Now the weird thing is, the site doesn't allow for a one time donation, so if you do use this, please just do a custom amount per year, then once the first transaction has gone through, discontinue it so it stops right away. If anyone knows if a site that worked like chipin with one time donations, please email the help desk so we can look into it.
And of course you can always donate directly through send a friend money on PayPal via sh.userhelp at gmail dot com email address.

So site emails are still borked. Once you've registered, please email sh.userhelp@gmail.com. Or if you need a reset.
Please be patient while you wait for a response - the help desk gets over 70 emails a day, and I go through all of them to make sure they are not spam, so it does take me a bit of time
I will need to know your user name - the database (which is available to everyone as the member's list) is by user name ONLY. So I cannot search by email addresses.
I also need the email address that is on the account (the one you made the account with) to verify that it IS yours once I can go into the account.
Please also list the archive name. Sycophant Hex has five archives, and Ashwinder is only one of those archives.
DATA BREACHES and SPAM
It has been brought to our attention that due to the Yahoo data breach, if you used a Yahoo email account to create a Sycophant Hex account that your password may have been compromised. We request that you a) change your password if you are able to, or contact us to create a password for you and b) use a different email service than Yahoo when you use the site.
There has also been a data breach on Livejournal, per an email I've received. So if you've a password/username on Sycophant Hex similar to one used
on livejournal, password may have been compromised. So please change your password or have us change it for you.
