Ahhh, love...
Had two assignments this weekend. One was a self-portrait, due today at 10. That went well. Sat in front of my mirror for about two hours last night just staring at my face. Ugh. But I didn't look too bad, almost pretty. So of course when I put it to paper, since I didnt have my glasses and thus could hardly see details, I just guessed with shading and such. And it looked like I was wearing make-up. Which enhanced it so much, cause I look pretty with make-up (if it's done right, as in, just eyeliner and mascara and a touch of lipstick/gloss). Anyhow, good mood last night, which is good for drawing, which then made my embarrassment today much less. Cause we had to do critiques. Eep. So it was up on the board by a few other drawings, and we discussed them all. Bleh. But there were no major flaws, just should have shaded a bit more.
Other project was for 2D design, and I needed markers to do them. So we went to Baker's and got all the cool greys, and I got a new sketchbook so I can have one for 2D and one for Drawing II. And I got a 10% discount for being an art student. Rockness. So I colored in my designs, and it was good.
Next art project due is something about 10 different perspectives of the same thing..... Ooo, I should see if I could do drawings of Lucita! Cept I'd be horrible at it. Eh, well. I just don't have anything good to draw in my room. Fishies move too much. Hmm. Maybe I could do gesture drawings of the fishies as they swim, then fill in more detail after I get the basic poses. Or sift through my pictures of them. Then I could even attempt to draw in the rocks behind them! And hermit crabs!!
Yeah. So. Spose that's all I'm gonna talk about here.. Art History next, then I'm gonna be studying for my anthro quiz. How fun. Then I get to work on the new layout and challenges for Sycotic. Goodie. I have no idea what challenges I should do, but I'm pressed for time, so I think I'm gonna just stick with a V-day theme for challenges. Ooor.... I could have a V-day challenge that ends on V-day... That sounds good. Okay.
