(no subject)
The last few days have been very hectic, but nice. "Santa" sent me a walmart gift card and it was used with GREAT appreciation. Whoever sent it is a Godsend. I'm going to hit up the dollar tree and stuff tomorrow for a few odds and ends. Not sure what's going on with Amy, when I'll see her and stuff. Saturday will be hectic. I'll be making candy, cookies, fudge all day for my gift box things I'm making. I couldn't afford to give presents to everyone, which isn't too unusual, Danny has a HUGE extended family, so I'm making them.
We also waited in the car in line for 3 1/2 hours for help from the Salvation Army. I wasn't going to post it because some people may look down on me, but I needed the help. This hurricane may not have taken my house, but it took a lot. I also may have found some help getting the clothing Danny and I need and a bed. Danny will be working next week, but if he doesn't get paid like he's supposed to (which he still hasn't btw) he'll find work elsewhere. 3 Casino's open back up this month and next, so I'll probably apply with them since it's guaranteed insurance and we need it, especially me.
All in all, looks like things will look up for me. It's not that I didn't think they eventually would, it's just it seems like they all fall apart at the same time. I'm sure that happens to most of us though. I miss my family and wish we could be together for Christmas. I think thats the worst part of this year. This has been a horrible year for the most part and I can't wait for it to be over. Bring on 2006. It will be MY year.
I am so excited for Christmas though. Kodi is estatic. Do any of you have any traditions? We don't have any and never really had any as a kid, but I'm going to start some. I think we'll go look at lights Christmas eve. I'd like to go to Church, but it's doubtful. Conflict of Religion. Anyone have any suggestions?
Well this post is long enough. I have Arianna, Kayleigh, and Megan staying the night tonight. Kodi is exhausted but doesn't want to miss anything. It's 10:30 here and way past her bedtime. I'm letting her play though, until she starts whining.
