Though I've been around men friends my entire life, their taste in women never fail to amaze me. Some don't even make any bones about it. Young, trainable, and nubile females. What is up with that? A puppet subject to everything from Pavlovian conditioning to Pygmalionian manipulation.
Personally, I prefer an equal partner. I remember a good friend making a witty remark about how convenient it would be to have a girl perform preprogrammed behavior on cue, with matching "treat" as a reward. I couldn't help but ask if he wanted a significant other or a puppy.
I'm so not going to even start with the rounds of double standard. I suppose advocating for the capable, modern woman in no way guarantees her popularity with men. I can at least take small comfort in one opinion of trading up. >_
