So...once again I've mangaged to fall into craziness.
I've been accepted into a summer research program at Hunter College in NYC. I'll be leaving June 1st and be back on August 2nd. It's biomedical research...neurodegenerative disorders to be specific. I'm excited, I really am, but per usual its taking me a long time to get around to being giddy about the matter.
Going home tomorrow afternoon, I'm excited. I've got a lot to do. See Amy, see Christine, see Banana Republic's big sale, get my hair cut...
In other news, there might be a bit of interest in my life. I'm not sure how to deal with what's popped up, but in the meantime its quite wonderful.
I'm becoming good friends with a person who fills a long open spot in my life, and its realllllly nice. Fantastic conversations, very different outlooks that somehow seem to mesh, its working very well. These last weeks of school will be very telling.
Research wise life is crazy. Had a major setback in the lab, but things are ok now. Tammy (my advisor) called me tonight in my room (not even my cell, just my Albion extension) at 9pm to make sure that I was doing well, check up on things, and to make sure I went out and destressed. Which I did. Mock Rock is a blast, I'm really enjoying the practices believe it or not, and the chance to regularly see lots of very fun people is also fantastic. Greek week is going to be really fun I think...
I need more sleep.
