So, I went to an open house thing today at Loyola University. Yes, the Jesuit private university.
The short version: I really liked the place, but... moneys.
The long version: The campus is beautiful. The faculty I spoke with were awesome (especially the Japanese professor lady). The students I met were really nice. It offers a major and minor that I'm very interested in, being International Studies (major) and Asian Studies (minor).
However, the tuition is EXPENSIVE. In fact, the cost is the only thing I didn't really enjoy about the place. Well, that coupled with the economy...
So, we'll see. I haven't been this interested in finishing college in a long while, so yeah...
Laters.
Oh, and before I forget...
57 days until the JLPT

UPDATE
I found out that one of the city colleges here in Chicago (Harold Washington College) has a Japanese language specific Associates degree. Also, being a city college, the tuition is extremely cheap.
I'm also looking into DePaul, which (unfortunately) also happens to be an expensive private university. However, it has a Japanese Studies major.
Having options is a good thing.
