I know I'm way late, but I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I'm up late trying to delay sleep since I'm working another week of night-shift this week. So here's to continued happiness and success to everyone in life, love, and work. I hope everyone had a great holiday season. Thank you to everyone who has been there for me in the past and especially this past year. Work is going well on the cardiac floor at West Penn. I finally feel like I'm getting the hang of things, and I'm not scared to go to work each day. My co-workers are great, so helpful and welcoming. I'm so glad that things worked out as well as they did. It's so weird that it's been a year already; now the new 2nd degree students are doing their clinical on my floor! I finally feel like I have a purpose when I go to work each day, and I hope my patients realize how much they influence me as I help them. Being at home with my family this past holiday season was great. Things are finally settling down with the divorce. Although my mom and dad are separated now, I feel that my relationships with both of them are getting stronger. I wish them both the best of luck in their independent searches for happiness. My sis is still kicking ass in college, and I am so proud of her accomplishments in everything she does. I can't believe that I used to fight with her every day when we were younger. This holiday season also reconfirmed friendships still holding strong and the ones that seem to have faded away. Regardless of how things change, I'll always value the friendships of the past and the friendships that remain. Out here in Pgh, things couldn't be better between Matt and I. Every day I'm reminded why he makes me so happy and how I can be myself around him. I look forward to each and every day and what the future holds for us... a puppy, a home, more, someday... So, my resolutions for the new year... I've never really been too good with them, so I'm just going to try to be a better person in everything that I do. A better daughter, a better sister, a better girlfriend, nurse, friend, and all around person. So here's to a good night and a new day. Sweet dreams to all of you. ;)
