Judge not lest ye be judged...gqsmoothJanuary 3 2005, 10:57:40 UTC
Quite an interesting post here. I thought id get a few comments in.
1: Regarding: "If you leave an away message with a joke in it for a certain friend" The away message you speak of was rather crude. Not becoming of someone who says they are a Christian
2: Also Regarding: "If a randomly Generated new years resolution says you are going to become a slut in 2005"
Ephesians 5:3-5 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person-such a man is an idolater-has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God

In Regards To: Matthew 7:10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God

If your conscience is clear before God then all I can say is that the truth of the matter will be evidenced in your fruit and deeds. Matthew 7:16-17 "By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit." James 2:14-17 "What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. "If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead

First of all, The word of God is what I and all Christians live by. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is Godbreathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." Notice the word ALL. I judge everything in life by the word of God and not MY own opinion for He is FAR more holy, and perfect in knowledge than I will ever be. Secondly did you miss the part where I quoted 1 John 1:8-10 "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives." I never claimed to be without sin, rather the opposite, but I am in Christ and I am covered by His blood, my sins are forgiven, I am a child of God! I do not claim to be able to live up to the law, because I know I can't. Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and
