Hey all. I apologize to the owner of this LJ for posting when you don't even know me, but I would just like to step in and defend Meredyth here a little bit.
First off people, I would like to ask why you have nothing better to do with your time than rail on some poor girl you have never met (for the most part). Knock it off. There are better things to do with your time.
Second, I would like to ask if no one here has ever made a misspelling? Anyone? No? You all just inherently know how every word is spelled without ever making a mistake? Wow. What a rare breed you are! I know I've misspelled things before. It was how I learned how to spell in the first place. By making mistakes, and then being corrected. I'm also not excatly stupid. Which leads me to my next point.
Hi, I'm Erin, and I go to UC Berkeley in California. If you haven't heard of it, check it out. But I bet you have heard of it. It's a pretty good school, and not everyone can get in. It is in fact, one of the hardest UCs to get into, along with UCLA. I graduated with a 4.15, and was Valedictorian of my class. That's a PUBLIC school for all of you people out there who are so proud of your private schools. We didn't have the money to put me in a private school, and decided that it didn't quite make sense to start getting in finacial debt over scholastics when I hadn't even gotten to college yet. My school was very diverse in ideas and people. I have no complaints, and I am very proud of my education. Why shouldn't I be? Look where it got me. And I'm doing pretty well here in Berkeley. I'm even able to keep up with the Private school kids! Imagine that!!
So to all of you self-righteous folks who think it is great fun to build vicious arguments about something someone said to someone else, please, I beg you, think twice before you do something like that again. All it proves is that you are cruel, and that you have vast amounts of free time.
Leave Meredyth alone. She's a great person, which you might find out if you spent a little time with her, instead of jumping to conclusions based on nothing but a small excusable error, and an icon. Damn.
