A Letter to the baby

Oct 19, 2006 10:41

Dear Baby,

I have decided that it is time for you to stop kicking my ribs. Lack of sleep, pain and kicking me in the stomach equals a very grumpy mummy. Now you might not be receiving the wrath of mummy, but the rest of the world is especially 2 people who really don't deserve to be yelled at. There needs to be a time where we both get the sleep we need. This makes us both very healthy and me not so cranky.

As well, my little sugar plum, I know you are there, you really don't have to make it known 24-7. I understand that when your father walks into a room and starts talking, you get excited, this is fine. But when Daddy and I are sleeping there is really no need for you to be playing. Sleep is best.

I know I have not given in to all of your demands for strange foods and general cravings, but eggnog isn't out on grocery shelves until November/December. I will indulge you then. Also, some of those things like sushi, I am not supposed to eat until after pregnancy. So, please stop trying to hurt me to get your way. Your sister will tell you that this is not the way things work.

I think I have made my point. Don't forget you are loved very much!! Your father, sister, myself and many others can't wait to meeting you in the next 3 months.

Lots of love,
Mummy
