Found this on the computer. Something Zac wrote last year for his Eng. Comp. class...its sweet!

Throughout the last four years, I have become accustomed to one individual that has helped me through the best of times and the worst. This individual has shown me that true happiness is not far away. She is not only my best friend, but she is the one that I am closest to. She is more than just a person that I have know for sometime, but rather a human being who has helped me become who I am. My girlfriend and most importantly my best friend, Erin, has shown me that life is too short to waste.
Raised in a culture of cotton growers and of average people growing their own food before the winter frost comes and freezes the ground. Erin has been raised among people or as I like to call them “folks” here in the south, that have given her a noticeable drawl to her voice. On the outside she has the characteristics of any girl, medium length brown hair with blonde streaks that she leaves both up and down depending on the time of day. Her eyes are big and beautiful with the shade of green that could make any man weak in the knees. With her mouth opened ajar just a little bit, she isn’t scared to give anyone a quick smile showing her white teeth. She has so much more to her physical appearance than what is on the outside; her southern culture has brought her up well.
Behind her appearance is her many quirks and perceptions that really make Erin, who she is. Erin’s most noticeable aspect is her ability to be very impatient. Most people tend to believe this is a bad quality, but I believe it is good. I believe being impatient makes her always ready for something, and always ready to go somewhere. Erin has a lot of energy inside and it has brought excitement to my life that I never imagined. Another one of her quirks is that she is very strong willed. Her beliefs are what she lives by and nothing could take that away from her. When having a discussion, she states her side and sticks to it. The ability to stand her ground is very important in life and it has given me a different attitude about myself. With her being strong willed, I have become more open to other possibilities and other explanations that maybe she hasn’t thought about. Even though she may not be in favor of a certain idea, it keeps my mind thinking. By taking what she believes in, it has given me an opportunity to expand my thoughts and ideas. While Erin has her “lets go” actions and strong beliefs, she has awakened the person inside to everything around me.
With the ability to have everything opened up to me, I can laugh at myself to keep from being too serious. When life gets monotonous, laughter spices up the same routine that everyone goes through. Erin points out humor in areas I would not even think of. When I am not having a good day, she is there to tell jokes or make fun of something that she sees. Little jokes and insults during the day, has made me laugh at times where I did not think I could. By her making me laugh, I am more able to laugh at myself during times where I have gotten serious. She has given me that capability to do that. Humor is a big deal and I believe that Erin knows how to use that power.
My girlfriend and most importantly my best friend, Erin, has shown me that life is too short to waste. With her striking appearance that catches any person’s attention while inside she has a strong heart. Many qualities from her are showing up in how I act and how I perceive myself. Being impatient and having strong convictions have led her to make me stronger as well. The biggest obstacle that she has helped me with was to laugh at myself throughout the hard times. Putting a smile on my face at any time of day has been the most rewarding part of her being in my life. Erin continues to show that I can be a great person inside and out, including a smile every now and then.
