Childhood vs Parenthood
So M's right brain course is gonna end this year. Hubbs asked what other course will i want to send M to after this which we both agree to send him for swimming classes. Hubbs also said that his colleague tried sending his son to all sorts of class and he ended up liking fencing at age 12.
Then he asked back in my childhood days what kind of course i would go to. I told him i always liked guys stuff back then. But mummy only sent me for like music class. Then during Primary school to Secondary school, i wanted to go for martial arts like Arkido which i did not have the chance to and even in Secondary School, i missed the chance for Art class due to the lack of students which ruined one of my teenage dream.
Then Hubbs ask if i mentioned such things to my parents which i did. But i guess they were struggling financially which can be the reason why i couldnt persue my dream or find my strength.
This made me reflect alot on parenthood and what kind of mother i want to be for M. Afterall, M would eventually go out to the society to work and maybe get married to be someone's husband. There are just alot to process and how we could/should plan for his future.
