Last night wuz da bomb yo.
Me and Adam went to the Newport to see Coheed and Funeral for a Friend. It was my first non-local concert (and I'm 18!!) and I l.o.v.e.d it like a fat kid loves cake. The first band, Brazil, was pretty good. Then Funeral played, then some band w/ a chic singer (ohh so rare, huh?). They weren't bad, but the crowed kept telling them to get off stage, I felt pretty bad. Then Coheed and Cambria played and I wanted to get up close. It was so packed, like going through the halls of Westland in between bells, only worse. I started feeling dizzy and got short of breath. I covered my eyes and held on to Adam hoping it would go away. But then they started playing and I started freaking out because everyone was pushing me and I couldn't breathe!!! I didn't think I was that claustrophobic! And it had to happen right when Coheed started playing. Adam noticed because I was crying and stuff and, from what I remember, grabbed me and took me to the back. I guess I fainted? Thats what he said but I don't remember. I felt a lot better once I wasn't being smothered and I really wanted to go up closer again. So after I convinced Adam I would be ok, we went up closer. It was so awesome. I pretty sure Adam had fun too, besides the fact that he was trying to push everyone off us the whole time. At one point I was trying to get out from behind this really big guy whom was covered in sweat, and got lost from Adam. The crowed pushed me, I didn't care though 'cause I was even closer and no one around me was all sweaty :)
I can see why bands try so hard now. The crowed sung most of the parts and then called for an encore.
I got a shirt and was too nervous to talk to the singer :)
