I was a huge Beatles fan in my early teens. I still enjoy listening to them occasionally, but way back then Beatlemaniac was pretty much the my identity. Naturally, I had every record in some way or form. Many of them as cassettes that my ex-step-dad's Beatlemaniac brother gave to me.
My A Hard Day's Night was a soviet Melodiya LP release, and one of the first Beatles records I ever heard. Records were quite a luxury for me back in the day, since it was in the pre-Spotify times when you had to go to a hysical record store and buy a damn CD, if you wanted one. I already had one A Hard Day's Night, so I didn't get it on CD. despite the fact that my disc for some reason was a song short. The song was When I Get Home and the first time I heard it was sometime this year, when I listened through the complete album.
Lessay, I'm really happy I didn't spend 200 krona in 1996 on a new copy of the album, only to hear "I'm gonna love her til the cows come home". Spared myself a dissappointment there.
