Small talk, what I was supposed to say before I was interrupted.

Drapes
I forgot to mention the bestest thing about Gwen's Wind It Up video.
Remember a recent post I made, about me and gothic lolita and how I get furniture textile-vibes from some clothes? I didn't mention it in the blog, but when I talk about the same things with friends I usually go "some skirts look like they're made of drapes. That's kinda Sounds of Music".

Some fruits of yesterday's shopping
In Sweden things are very uniform and trends are very clear, because it's a tiny and trend-obsessed country. The summer of 2005 is known as bloggsommaren, since it was that year that blogs broke through on a big scale. We who have blogged since forever could just sigh and go about our business. Swedish blogosphere is quite, um... conventional. There several very clear genres that dominate, and all blogs belonging to the same genre are almost identical. One of the categories are fashionista blogs, with "today's outfit"-pictures and reviews of fashion shows with photos stolen from gettyimages or mainstream media. Sometimes I threaten people with "I'll start posting pictures of my outfits daily in my LJ!". It's funny. IMO.
Anyway, here are some things bought yesterday. Boring, I know. Them fashionistas would laugh at me and then take pictures of their H&M Viktor & Rolf bargains.

As you probably know, I have a weakness for ironic T-shirts. Thank Percy, at least it's not really the kind of hipster shit that is usually referred to as "ironic T-shirts", but more like "cheapass stuff I'd never wear" (I know, paradox). Anyway, I saw this pink short-sleeved tee in a second hand store (Myrorna at S:t Eriksplan) and went "LOL, Stangel, it has strawberries in sequins and small glass pearls! And they don't even look like strawberries!!! And it's never been worn and is embroided by hand!".
"Buy it"
"..Wha? But I swore I won't buy any more ironic T-shirts!"
"How much is it?"
"35 kr"
"Buy it, it's cute."
So here we go. Another ironic T-shirt.

The hoodie cost 45 kr and comes from same place. Not too exciting, but I know I will wear it. It's very Tanja casual, works great with my usual random trousers + ironic T-shirt look. The bottoms on this picture are large comfy Champion sports trousers I got from Jo. I have m4d skillz in acquiering clothes for free. The bracelet was bought at another Myrorna for 15 kr. I like it, it's like a shorter but overdimensioned chain made of small balls, like the ones you use for dog-tags.

Here is a bonus. Not because provides a better view of today's outfit, but because it demonstrates the =DDDD-face from this post.

Etymologi
