i've been meaning to update about my weekend, but i haven't found the time. i still don't have time, but i'm bound to forget these events so i better write them down now
long entry coming up!
friday was the much anticipated trip to Body Worlds with allison&family. boy the car trip was long...so much traffic, but when we got there i was thankful that they purchased the tickets in advance! the lines were impossibly long. it was pretty darn crowded there. about 10 people huddle around one display. O.O;;
i did my best to look at all the displays. yet, naturally, my favorites were the whole cadavers :] allison pointed out that the piece titled "runner" was me. this one had the muscles pulled out in all directions for an interesting effect. ohoh! and there was this other one where the guy was vertically sliced into four sections and he had tatoos O.o;;
the slices weren't that interesting to look at because they all looked the same after a while. but i realized that if i were a surgeon operating on someone, i'd now know what is a tumor and what's a cancer etc. the stuff that's not squishy and naturally colored is the bad stuff
simple as that! and the plasticized organs were so cool! they had this giant heart [i think it was a heart] and it was just HUMUNGOUS.
the entire exhibit was well put together...especially the last part. wow. by that point i was admiring the artistic aspect of the displays. props to the grand horse display ! can't wait for body worlds 2 =]
saturday was a busy day for me. i would've gone to chinese school with samantha and jackie, but i had to go to SAT class. i woke up bright and early at 8am to find that no one was home. i wasn't very happy. dad was supposed to be home!!! DITCHER. that's the second time this week >:[ so i had to call up grandpa to take me to school. apparently, i'm in kieran's class!! YAY! math buddies<3 my teachers are pretty cool. although it was hard to pay attention in english because someone kept doodling on my book
we got to leave early from class because we were ahead of schedule
but the best part of the day was that i got two bagels. buwahahah! and they were free too, but originally for the failed algebra I students. "free food always tastes better." -- some random student in the cafeteria
i only had a few hours to settle down when matt and josh proposed that i go to the Bowling for PTP event for keyclub. of course, i'd love to get out of the house and i haven't been bowling in ages either. so i went! and it was reallyyy fun. xD our lane consisted of 8 people including franklin, melissa, jenny, josh, matt, bryan, and frank. josh was the champion! he wound up bowling for everyone else in the end and got way too many strikes. EHE. but i'm proud to say that i got 3rd place in the first game :] yay for me! special thanks to franklin for providing us with food<3 after we finished our game, i took it to the arcade with matt and franklin. the ddr machine was broken!!!
and u know that's the only game i'm good at. so we played some racing game and well...i lost. nothing unusual there! i can't drive straight. i blame the game because there isn't enough "control"
...and wow. that was 1.5 days worth of posts. i have too much to say. imagine if i did something eventful on sunday. xP i think i have coordinating pictures for these posts on my camera, but i'll post them later. for now...i hope you enjoyed straining your eyes on my entry...and goodnight
