i just learned to cross-stitch, self-taught as it's not as hard as it looks, really. i messed up on my first attempt (mis-counted) but my second attempt went well. there are a few mistakes, but none of them had a great affect on the outcome. just a missed stitch here or there, where it didn't matter. picture under cut.

That looks great! I swear we have some kind of connection... I've started getting into cross stitch and embroidery, too. I have a few things I'm working for a bunch of people. :)

Yes, I saw the bib you were working on, I thought I had commented to your post, but knowing me, I came up with a reply/comment in my head and didn't realize I hadn't really replied. Hehehehe. Have you finished the bib, how did it turn out? It was so cute!! You posted that right as I was starting my lil wormie guy.

:)

I've been working on this quite a bit, when I start a project, I usually can't wait to finish (i.e. if it's a painting project, I will stay up all night to finish it, even though I shouldn't).

What is your cross-stitch of?

And yes, finding a job is ridiculous, and quite depressing really. I need a job quite badly.

::hugs you:: i think the cross stitch is beautiful. :) You should make me one of a bunny. :) You'll get a jobbie. I'm sure you will. And it will suit you just as well (if not better) than that one at that schoolie place.

I'm sure the "Fur-Ever Friends" Precious Moments book has a bunny or two. they're REALLY REALLY cute and I'm gonna buy it. So yes, a bunny will be coming your way at some point.

Yeah, I know I'll get a job sometime, but I want/need one NOW. I was sick again today so I didn't go fax resumes... I'm going to have to tonight or tomorrow, is very important....

Look at us, we're all so domesticated! Or, at least that's how I feel when I'm sitting there cross-stitching or sewing (I also like to sew my own purses, etc). Hehehe.

Quilting, for some reason, looks hard to me, or maybe just time-consuming. Sewing all those little squares together... that said, I want to try to learn, maybe start with a tiny little quilt that will serve no real purpose! What does your quilt look like? What colors?

Cross-stitching isn't so bad, it's relaxing to me. And I can do it while watching TV or listening to music, so it doesn't take my whole brain, otherwise I probably would lose my patience with it.
