DONALD H. FREDERICY JR.

WAYLAND - Donald H. Fredericy Jr., 29, passed away unexpectedly Monday (Sept. 13, 2004) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester from injuries he sustained in a recreational accident.

Donny was born March 24, 1975, in Dansville, a son of Donald and Cynthia (Spencer) Fredericy Sr. He was a graduate of Wayland-Cohocton Central School and attended Corning Community College. He was employed with the Wayland Village Street Department for the past three years, he formerly worked as a correctional officer at the Steuben County Jail and at Gunlocke Chair Co.

Donny was a dedicated member and assistant chief of the Wayland Fire Department and Wayland Ambulance Corps. He also was a member of the Wayland Sons of the American Legion at the Theodore Van Tassel American Legion Post # 402 in Wayland, and the NYS Association of Fire Chiefs. He enjoyed hunting, collecting Code 3 memorabilia and NASCAR, especially the driver Jeremy Mayfield, but most of all he loved spending time with his son, Owen.

He is survived by his son, Owen Fredericy of Dansville; his parents, Cynthia Fredericy (John Deleo) and Donald (Dianne) Fredericy Sr., all of Wayland; his companion, Kim Truax of Wayland; his sister and brother, Dawn and Dustin Fredericy of Wayland; his grandparents, Asa and Clara Spencer of Wayland; his wife Jessica (Sahrle) Fredericy of Oregon; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and his many cherished brothers in the fire service and legion.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, and 1-3 and 6-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home, 100 E. Naples St., Wayland. A Fireman's service and Sons of the American Legion service will be held starting at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the funeral home, with Rev. Osceola Wharton officiating. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery, Wayland.

Contributions may be made to the Wayland Fire Department, Wayland Ambulance or a future educational fund being established for his son, Owen.

But apparently it's not ok for me to not be myself. I have to be the happy person that everyone likes even though I have to deal with this. No I'm not ok, and No I don't want to talk about it. Please leave it at that. If you see me sitting or eating by myself it's not because I don't have any friends, it's because I want to be alone.

Isn't a relationship, that includes friendships people, a two-way street???? If I see that you need me and I am there for you, wouldn't it only be fair for you to be there for me? Especially if I tell you that I need you?!?! Why would you reject me, when I need you the most? Can anyone tell me how that is fair?

I heard it through the grapevine that people are talking about me. This wouldn't bother me if I knew why they were talking about me or why they are mad at me. So please, if you are angry with me tell me first, and then tell the rest of the world.
