A Novel to Trump All Novels

Happy belated Valentine's Day everyone! I've never been a huge fan of the holiday, but then again, how often have I actually had a Valentine? Eh, I think it's too lovey-dovey for me, with or without a Valentine.

I've been quite busy this week. That's why it's been so long since my last entry here. And I've been doing so well too. Eh, at least it's the weekend finally. A mini recap of my week...

My car went into the shop for it's 90000 mile maintenance. Among other items, it needed a new battery. It still had the original, meaning that it lasted for over eleven years. The guy at the shop said that he'd never seen a battery last that long. Hehe. I'm good. (Well, and my parents, since I wasn't at the driving age in 1995.)

Tuesday was my 'day in the life.' I really enjoyed walking around the city trying to find some good pictures to take. I had a couple planned for the bus ride home, but the bus was so full that I didn't get a window seat. So, I had to scratch some of those. One of them was going to be the Starbucks headquarters. I figured that since Starbucks seems to be the usual HPB meet-up place, that a good photo of the headquarters would be nice. No luck, of course. Maybe next time.

I have new icons!!! I edited a few of the ones I had already as well as added a good deal more. I am now up to my 15 icon limit for the plus account. I'm uber excited to use them all, so keep an eye out for them. ;)

Valentine's Day marked the beginning of Romione Spirit Week on HPB!!! *squee* So, for all those who want Ron and Hermione to end up together, visit the Written in the Stars thread! Now! Right now! I mean it! Go! Shoo! I want to see you post. :D And with that, I've written a Romione one-shot. I'll place it in another entry though. Be on the lookout.

New Moon: So, I finished it. It turned out to be pretty decent. For me, about the first half of the book was pretty slow. It was rather difficult for me to get into it. But then there was a point in there where it picked up speed. I'm not quite sure the exact spot, but it was probably somewhere around the time that Laurent arrived on the scene. I guess I just need action. Before that, there was very little of it.

But at the beginning, I do wonder what Charlie and Edward were discussing in the living room before Edward broke it off. I just found it quite interesting that the two of them would be talking to each other in that situation. Especially since Edward was on the verge of telling Bella to forget about him. Just a curiosity, I guess.

Is it morose to hope that Bella becomes a vampire? I just feel like it's wrong in some way. Of course, all of us want Bella to be with Edward, right? It's a very difficult thing for me to get a handle on. Especially when you bring in the issue of her parents and Jacob. (Poor Jacob.)

But now we wait until the fall for the third book. At least, I'll have Deathly Hallows in the meantime.

Aquaman: I watched the pilot on youtube earlier in the week. I can kinda see why it didn't get picked up, but Justin Hartley is quite a cutie. :D Anyways, I had these crazy weird dreams that night, and I happened to be swimming quite fast during part of it. Hehe. I blame Aquaman all the way. It's just too bad Justin wasn't there.

ER: I watched last week's episode the other day but have yet to see this week's. I'm always so far behind since it's on at 10pm. I hate shows that air after my bedtime. Well, maybe hate is a strong word. It's just annoying. I have a few general items to mention.

1) Shane West has been cast a leading role in a pilot show. It's a drama about Supreme Court clerks and called "Supreme Courtships." I don't want Shane to leave!!!

2) How much longer will ER be airing? We are currently on the thirteenth season! That's such a long time for a normal television drama.

3) Will they ever bring back old characters from the show? We see Carter every once in a while, but what about the others? Like Doug Ross, Carol Hathaway, Peter Benton, or Elizabeth Corday? Especially with an upcoming occassion, this would be a perfect opportunity to do so.

NCIS ("Friends and Lovers"): Oh, oh, before I start up with comments on the episode... Michael Weatherly phoned into the morning radio show I listen to, and I have the short clip of it on my computer. So, if you're interested in hearing it *cough*pyjamagurl*cough* be sure to remind me. ;)

So, this week's episode heavily focused upon Tony and Jeanne's relationship. I don't think everyone's a big fan of that. *cough* It does seem like Tony's serious about Jeanne though. He doesn't want to end up like the detective he was working with (John Carson), who acts very similar to Tony. I felt really bad for Carson, especially when he ends up dead.

And Carson was also Jeanne's ex, so it seems. She called his ex a stalker. So does that mean that the person taking pictures of Tony and Jeanne a few episodes back was Carson or someone completely different?

Good quote...
Tony: I should write a book, too.
Gibbs: You should read one first.

Bones ("The Man in the Mansion"): Great episode! David is love. That's all I really have to say. :D However, I am quite saddened. The next episode doesn't come back until mid-March. I blame American Idol.

Smallville ("Freak"): Another show with a month-long hiatus. How frustrating! I wish shows would just air all their shows in a row. I don't mind a week or two off for the holidays, but beyond that, ergh! So, Clark's not the freak, is he? It's been Chloe all along. I do wonder how she was infected in the first place and how she will be affected in the future. It has been suggested that she may turn into Oracle. I had to look her up on wikipedia, and I can definitely see the resemblance. I wouldn't be surprised if that did happen. Guess we'll have to wait and see...

Oh, and Lana knows that Lex lied to her. She won't take too kindly about that. We all know she has trust issues. And if Lex lets Lana slip through his fingers, he doesn't know what he'll do. Foreshadowing? Possibly.

Lost ("Flashes Before Your Eyes"): Desmond love! It was just awesome seeing so much of him. I must say, though, that I loathe Penny's father. He just makes me want to slap him silly. A shot of whiskey worth more than Desmond!? Pssh! I hope fate has his end planned soon.

Speaking of fate, Final Destination anyone? But Charlie's in mortal danger! I could here the screaming 'no's across the entire nation. Although, I picked up on the meaning of fate catching up to someone before it was said out loud, I admit that I thought it was Claire. It made more sense by what we were shown. But, nope, it was Charlie. I really hope he doesn't get knocked off, though. Cause that would be one more of the more popular 'cute' guys to leave. Not cool, that would be.

Next week, we're supposed to get answers to three of our questions. I hope they're telling the truth!

Stargate Atlantis ("Sunday"): Thanks to the tv-links site, I am catching up on my Atlantis. Just finished the 17th episode of the season a while ago, and I got all teary-eyed at the end. I already knew that Beckett was going to die, but it was worse actually having to watch it. I'm definitely going to miss him. He added something to the show, and I just wish we could find out why they killed him off. It's just... so... sad.

Heroes ("Run!"): Haven't watched it yet. That's on tomorrow's agenda.

Jericho: Starts next week! *dances*

Okay, sorry about the novel. I guess there was a lot to say. :D But now I'm done, and you can go rest since you've probably gotten tired after reading this thing. Sleep well! ;)
