road trippin

Today was sort of an adventure. I slept in from staying out late at Katie’s house. She is a sweet girl and I’m going to miss her when I leave.
John’s apartment served as home base for Operation: Get Me Out Of Here. I registered for all my classes and got part-time job info on his computer and went to the courthouse to relieve my court concerns. Upon looking closer at my summons, I noticed that the appearance is for the 21st! I was worried over absolutely nothing! My memory falsely gave me the number 27 as a date for the ticket. Yeah, so yet another example of my blockheadedness.
I got home and the phone rang. It was Brittany and Amanda, my new net friends. They wanted a ride to Eugene. I’m pretty sure they were running away because they had me pick them up from the greyhound station. I learned that my car can get me to Eugene and back without breaking down. I had planned on going to some little indie record store once there but I opted out once I got a little lost. Back in Roseburg, I popped by the mall to do my cd shopping . There may not be any good record stores in tiny Rexburg, so I bought some to store up for the next month or two. Weezer’s Deluxe Blue Album, a Modest Mouse cd, Something Corporate, and Matchbox Romance. .. That should keep back the shakes for a while.
I got my dad’s tax information this evening. I can finally fill out my FAFSA forms and get some more money flowing my way for school. As I type this, I’m listening to that modest mouse cd I got, “The lonesome, crowded west” .. I’m really liking what I’m hearing. It reminds me of everything I like about the pixies with a more modern twist. I don’t claim to know the message behind all the songs , but they seem like the type you can enjoy whether you know the words or not.
