So . . . my bio class just got back from the bio station which was . . . interesting. It was really nice up at the lake, minus the seemingly bad infestation of ticks in the woods. (There was also and issue of the spider that fell out of my blanket when I unpacked it upon our return. Megan and Nicole cornered and killed it for me, so they are heroes for the day.

Overall the bio station was fun I guess, as nothing awful happened, and there was always quite a lot of entertainment considering the group of people. I got to go on a few small hikes through the woods to collect flowers, some of which were very cool, though I didn't end up stomping through the bogs or the swamps like I kind of wanted to while we were there. Megan and I took a trip around the lake in the little paddle boat which was fun, though we couldn't reach any of the weeds with the stupid thing as we didn't want to hit its rudder on all of the trees in the lake. The cabins were much nicer than I thought they were going to be, which was happy, but sharing a living space with seven other people is not something I enjoy. Identifying anything that looks like a piece of grass is a big fat PITA. Identifying everything else is just a pain. I like plants more than I thought I did, so maybe that's what I'll work with for my senior thesis.

The next two years class-wise are going to be some sort of hell, so I hear, as I am a bio major. (Can it really be hell without physics and organic?)Speaking of organic, my grade went up significantly in that class this semester, and I am impatiently awaiting the rest of my grades which probly won't come until a long time after I've been home. I'm leaving for home next friday, but getting home Saturday, but the exciting part is that I can get off of the train in Albany and don't have to go all the way through to Springfield. Hurray!!!!!! Then I can see everyone, and it will be most exciting, though I will miss all of my Hillsdale people and having a structured schedule. And just so you know, I'll be home until somewhere around August 17th/18th I think as we have to be out here on the 21st, but I plan to be out here by the 20th just to make settling in a little easier.

Anyways, I'm gonna go work on silly plant stuff now because . . . because classwork is fun?

I leave you with this:

1. Total number of books owned? A lot.

2. The last book I bought? Angels and Demons

3. The last book I read? I'm working on The Glasswright's Test, but I just finished Angels and Demons and The Drawing of the Three.

4. Five books that mean a lot to me:
- The whole Harry Potter series
- Interview with the Vampire
- The Lord of the Rings
- His Dark Materials Trilogy
- The Glasswright's Saga

5. I'm tagging: Anyone who wants to do this?

Oh, and Ary it is so all about the butterflies and frozen cokes. I can't wait to get home either.
