Overslept on Monday morning... so I missed my chance to go for a morning run. By the time I got caught up on eBay stuff it was already 3pm and 90 degrees outside....
I sat there staring at the clock for what seemed like an hour but was probably just 10 minutes, and then said to hell with it. But surprisingly my "to hell with it" wasn't that I was gonna blow off my run, it was that I was going to run anyway even though it was freaking hot...
I did a slow 2 miles, with frequent walking breaks, although I tried to do most of that as racewalking to keep the heartrate up. The stretch on Alexander was a little rough with the sun right in my eyes, but once I made the turn on 3rd it was much better. This little old lady passed me in the other direction. She had to be 80, maybe 85... and she was hauling ass. I had to laugh that I was pondering not doing my run and here she is trucking right along...
I was a little fatigued when I got back, but not like I was the first day... And the most important thing is, I got out and did it...
