I don't especially enjoy being a mediator for that girl of yours, Isley.

[totally NOT in the job description. also, hi.]

Then why are you doing it?

[It's not like I asked you to you self-important throw rug.]

She's asking about you. She wants to know why you're upset with her.

I am not going to ask you to get involved in this, Rigaldo. You have my permission to step away from it if you so wish. I won't hold it against you.

[Now you tell him.]

I'll remember that when she comes to me in the future.

Do you really intend to keep her in the dark over this?

We are not creatures with behavioral patterns that bow down to necessity, yet I intend to do what I think needs to be done.

[As always Isley provides a convoluted answer to a simple question.]

[Would could he leave it at that, however.]

I will speak with her when I am inclined. Until then there are other matters that require my attention, things less trivial in pursuit.

[A pause.]

Can you feel it, Rigaldo?

[There is tension in the air. It is thick, almost tangible. He wants you to remain alert.]

[...well that's something. He really should let it go un-commented on but...]

I was unaware that Priscilla had become a trivial matter in any capacity.

[He does pause though, to try and pick out what Isley's talking about. And he sounds a little more thoughtful with this part.]

I believe so.

What is it?

You would be unwise to pick this fight with me, Rigaldo. You know as well as I that she is not trivial, it is the argument itself that I cannot presently be bothered with.

[This is spoken evenly, as is the following.]

Something is going to happen.

[Prophetic dreams would be useful right about now. Sigh.]

I would like you to scout the outer perimeter of the city and tell me if you find anything out of the ordinary.

[That would be thin ice, wouldn't it?]

My days of picking fights with you are behind me, Isley. I was only pointing out how it sounded.

[He straightens up a little at being given orders.]

Of course. Out of the ordinary, whatever that might mean here... Where will you be?

Boldly, so it would seem. As well as unnecessarily. How it sounds is irrelevant. You should know better than that.

[But he is not going to waste his breath arguing about it anymore.]

It will not go unresolved, so do not worry. You will not be required to shoulder the burden of our domestic troubles again.

[That having been said...]

I will be reachable by Forge should you need me, as I have business around the city to see to.

...I shouldn't have to tell you to be careful.
