[Right on cue, there's a sputter of water from the comm, and a series of Russian curses.]

... Maybe I have not.

So... what is this temple I hear about? What happened to it?

Iiii should probably pay attention to the communicator more often.

That is probably a good idea. You might miss very important things.

I've just been off kind of... doing things.

[Instead of lazing about and stalking the comms.]

Ah, he's been busy! Well, that is a good excuse. What have you been up to, eh?

Uuuh, mostly just practicing some swordplay and stuff.

[Trying to figure out how to beat Azula and make her lay off his friends. Trying to work up the nerve to try and overcome some other fears. Sanya doesn't need to know that.]

You are a swordsman too?

[But he sounds so young!]

Kiiiiinda? I'm kind of new to it, but I'm pretty okay. Buuut that's why I'm practicing. 'Cause I'm not great, or anything...

[swordofhope]

Ah-hah. What kind of sword did you have in mind? Broadsword? Sabre? Eastern style?

[withanokka]

I'm probably from a kind of different world than yours. I studied in the Fire Nation with this great master, but only for a short while. He helped me make my own sword, but, I didn't have it when I got here.

So I made some out of table legs.

Normally, it's a straight, double-edged sword.

[swordofhope]

... Da. Never have heard of a fire nation before.

[Sanya tries very hard not to chuckle at that part. Table legs?]

It sounds like broadsword. How large was it?

[Sokka holds out his arm, trying to imagine the length.]

From the hilt to the end of the blade, a little shorter than my arm?

[A thoughtful pause.]

Not a broadsword then. Smaller. Still, it is a sword. How much were you taught?

[withanokka]

Basics, mostly. Just kind of simple sparring and way-of-the-sword type stuff.

[Beat.]

It was really helpful, though!

Sparring is a good outlet. Lets off much steam...
