Which Action Hero Would You Be? v. 2.0created with
QuizFarm.com LOL - how the fuck do you TIE Batman and Lara Croft? That's awesome. Now if only there were someway to combine the two... Oh yeah, you get me: a slightly bitchy, moderately attractive, Goth who fights with broadswords in a catsuit and a sweet-ass black leather coat. Well, there's my ego-boost for today.
Speaking of ego-boosts. Last night while I was filming the first episode of In Zer0, Russ called me to tell me about some reviews/posts of the DSO fight he and Wendy had found. Here are some quotes:
"Then I went to the DSO with Ben, John, and Joey...it was a pops concert featuring pieces from "Star Wars," complete with Stormtroopers and a lightsaber battle on stage. How cool is that?!" - julieandahalf
"Star Wars music as the DSO was okay. There were only a couple of really good songs played. You know, it takes a performance like that for you to realize how same sided most of the Star Wars music really is. John Williams pretty much...well....let's just say the music can get kind of boring. And, it bothered me that they used a little group of stunt people, it took away from the music, though I do admit that the battle during Duel of the Fates was cool, and the chick that played Darth Maul looked nothing like Darth Maul, and was hot as Hell." - refineddiscord
"One of the most notable pieces was duel of the fates. Duel of the fates, for me, is sort of a microcosm of everything that was wrong with Episode one. I really liked it when I first heard it, but I was like 13 at the time. Tonight it was greatly enhanced, though, buy a few very cool Ring of Steel (I presume) people acting out an awesome duel, which is to say, it was at least on par with the one from the movie, without the benefit of special effects or flight/jumping harnesses. I asked my self a few moments before the end "I wonder if they've figured out how to choreograph a complete disembowlment," and the duel's end didn't disappoint, with the two foes giving each other a final run, followed by a dramatic pause, and the fall of darth maulette." - Gobachi
"I have a personalized Star Wars license plate. (And I just got back from the afternoon Detroit Symphony Orchestra's performance of 'The Music of the Star Wars Saga- complete with choir and performances by the Ring of Steel Action Theatre, who did a great job with the lightsaber duel during the 'Duel of the Fates'!)" - Dragonwrangler
"While the music played three costumed actors -- Obi Wan, Qui Gon, and Darth Maul -- appeared downstage and did a very well choreographed re-enactment of the light sabre battle at the end of Ep. I." - Clintp
So that's way more than enough of that right now. Last night I filmed my part of episode one for In Zer0 and it was awesome. Everybody on the set rocks, very cool people. Me and the other Wolves got to have very stylized hair & make-up to look more bad-ass. I loved mine. I liked it - I looked like something out of Blade Runner. I have kinda a mowhawk that flows into a mane of crimped hair. The make-up was all dark purple/red bruise-ish colors that looked hot w/ all the black we had on. Then we all froze our asses off filming outside at night. Anyway, I might get to more about the shoot later, but I'm tired. Later.
