For those of you who were wondering...

Yeah, that sci-fi TV series project I auditioned for...I got cast! :D Not a big part but I'm kinda glad because they gave me a sort of gang member role (i.e. someone to get their ass kicked by the hero) which has me hopeful that they'll use me in a lot of episodes or maybe switch me around to be a fill-in-the-blank bad guy. I'm really excited, this seems like something I'm going to love playing and the premise for the series (which will eventualy be pitched to the Sci-Fi channel and other networks) is interesting. Like post-apocolyptic setting with aliens and magic. The kind of interesting that means it could be really cool or awesomely bad - but the wonderful kind of Evil Dead bad which makes me want to work on it even more. Anyway, I'm in the first episode and we start shooting soon. I don't have any lines, I'm just background muscle, eyecandy, and if I'm guessing correctly the fight choreographer/consultant. It's kinda of cracking me up. After all, my first role in Ring was also a bad guy lackey in the Ninja movie and that was just the beginning of a hell of a lot of cool shit *caugh*JediGig*caugh* It also cracked me up that it was freezing in the building we auditioned so I kept my long black leather zippery goth coat on and the script calls for the gang members to be dressed in long black leather trenchcoats. Dressed the damn part and I didn't even know it. I'm sooo happy and you can bet that if they need extra fighters for some big fight scenes I'll recomend Ringers. Only bad thing about this: the 12 episode series is being shot over the course of a year, so apparently I'm not moving anytime soon. Damn, I was beginning to like the idea of no winter. Oh well, it'll give me more time to save money at my new awesome job.
