Comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation of what the word means to you and why, and then pass out letters to those who want to play along.

_wirehead_ gave me the letter C.

1. Changeling: A roleplaying game, although that's not the reason it's here. The original meaning was for a faerie baby that had been swapped for a human, or for a piece of wood glamoured to look like the baby, and was left behind in the crib. It's a fascinating thing, although I have to wonder if it hasn't happened in ways that the word hasn't meant.

2. Chaos: Well, that one's pretty self explanatory.

3. Chocolate: Because it's yummy.

4. Cigarettes: One of my main vices in life, and something i quite enjoy, even though they're bad for me.

5. Cats: One of my favorite animals, until about a year ago I had lived with one around for all of my life minus about a year in bits. I miss having them around, because they're mysterious and soothing.

6. Change: If you don't, you're dead. And besides, it embodies the uncertainty of the universe.

7. Communication: By means of which, ever so briefly, we are not alone in the universe. And isn't that enough?

8. Coincidence: I'm not sure if there's any such thing. Certainly, if you watch it enough it, becomes synchronicity. And the more of that there is in my life, the more I know I'm moving as I should.

9. Cerulean: Besides being a pretty sounding word, it's a pretty shade of blue. And blue isa a good thing, endlessly fascinating in it's variations, and in the subtle shades I see now that I didn't use to see.

10. Cemetaries: Resting places for the dead. I like the older ones, but it's a matter of ambience, of feel. One of the places I first truly felt at home, felt like I belonged, was in a cemetary. Just the quiet, and the moonlight, and the feeling in the air. I need to visit them more often these days.

11.(it would have been 10, but it's a phrase) Consensual Reality: The world which is formed by the common perceptions. Ephermal, in ways, it's something I only participate in in limited ways. It's a reminder, it is, that I can make my own world, all I have to do is believe it enough.
