Room Assignments

Nov 12, 2006 00:36

So, they (who is THEY?) posted room assignments. I'm on the 8th floor, and my room? It's completely GREEN. Sheets, walls, curtains - even the DESK AND CHAIRS are made of green-painted wood. It's like what we imagined Gai-sensei's apartment to be like, only more extremely so ( Read more... )

You know the guy roomin' with Sam?

What's he like, and am I gonna have to kneecap him when this is all over?

Er.

Sasuke is.

Sasuke is...

He was one of our fellow shinobi in Konoha. But now he's....

Now he's working for the Sound. He tends to keep to himself, but...tell your brother to be careful, okay?

Maybe he's gotten nicer though. I hope he has.

... Isn't the Sound those people you said you're at war with?

... Oh hell no.

If he tries anything, I'm breakin' his face. I don't suppose you ninjas can dodge freakin' bullets?

Only with something like the Shield of Sand or the Kaiten. Neither of which are in Sasuke's arsenal.

He may be able to project large amounts of chakra and influence the bullet's trajectory, but it would cause him intense pain-- and the bullet would still hit.

He moves FAST, though, Neji.

He's definitely dangerous.

Likely, he would see Dean's muscles twich before he fired, and use the Uchiha Katon in the direction of the bullet. Not only would it likely melt the bullet before it reached him, it could do considerable damage to Dean.

The hell's a Katon?

Fire-based jutsu.

The Uchiha can launch fireballs from their mouths.

... Okay, I'll bite, what the hell's a jutsu?

... That'd be handy. They're not demons, are they?

Jutsu=technique, basically.

And there are some in Konoha who might say they are. Then again, they're quick to call people demons. I mean, they call Naruto demon-boy for some reason...

It is a shinobi technique, used to accomplish various ends. For example, the Goukakyuu no Jutsu (the Katon I mentioned) is a technique used to exhale flame.

There are also jutsu which are used to clone oneself, to create the appearance of another person, or to rapidly switch places with an object.

You know, I've never tried. Not many bullets...Huh...I wonder if...hey Dean would you be amenable to a training session? ^_^

As for dodging bullets...Sasuke is one of the most dangerous shinobi I know. He's got special eyes like Neji, but his are specifically for use in high-speed situations. I think I heard another guy with that type of eye - the Sharingan - say that when he has it activated he can register high-speed objects much better than before...

Dean, don't do anything, without me or Neji (preferrably both) there, please?

Trainin'? Sure. You know martial arts, too? I always kick Sam's ass when we spar. No challenge.

Don't give a shit what he's got. Shotguns work against anything.

You guys are freakin' kids, I ain't about to put you in danger. Fine.

Yeah...I know some martial arts. My sensei is kind of a specialist in that area. Sure, I may not be a taijutsu master like Neji or Lee, but I'm pretty good, I think.

Could you bring that shotgun along, too? XD

Thank you.

... I'll bring it, but if you think I'm going to shoot it at you, you're crazy. Especially with shotguns, there's a huge margin of error when you AIM. And shotguns use buckshot, which is scattershot. It's dangerous, more so at close range than long distance, but I've been shot before, admittedly with rock salt, and I felt it for weeks afterwards it's just not cool, okay?

Fine...

I still think it could have been a valuable training exercise. Oh well. Maybe after I familiarize myself with firearms more...

Thank you, Dean.
