I have a question for everyone here; do you think the ends justify the means, no matter the cost or are there times when the means can never justify the end results?

I think asking questions like that is a waste of time. You can't apply the same thinking to every single situation.

You're right in the sense that most situations are different, but saying that it sounds like you think in some situations it might not be justified?

If you really want to know--Someone who says the ends justify the means is just using that as an excuse to do whatever they want.

[He believes there is definitely some truth in her words.]

Do you think you could forgive someone who did just that?

That would depend what they did, of course. I can't say that it'd be the same for everything.

[But there are people she'd never forgive who did exactly that.]

Sorry, I don't mean to side track but are you friends with Sir Flynn and Yuri? Your voice sounds familiar.

[He remembers it from when he went to help Flynn with the mechanical monkeys.]

Oh, yeah. We live in the same house, and we're all from the same world, too.

Ah, I'm glad that all of you can be here together, despite the circumstances. I'm Suzaku Kururugi, we might have met when I was here before.

Suzaku? Hmmm...

[She did insult him talk to him before, but remembering it-]

It might sound vaguely familiar.

It's strange thinking I've met people before but I don't remember it at all. [It's like being Geassed all over again.] Have you been here before and returned?

It just sounds like a pain to me. I haven't heard anything about it, but that just means nobody here now saw me. It's not like events nobody remembers is something I'd care about, though.

Even if there not remembered outright, I'd like to think our time here matters and we remember one way or another.

Matters how? We're nothing but a bunch of toys for this city to play with. Who wants to remember that?

For some of us it's different. We're able to see people we might not otherwise see again, being toyed with can be a small price to pay in comparison.

And who knows what the City might end up doing to that person you want to see.

[His voice becomes softer.]

She seems to be happy here.

[he wonders if that will change after he tells her what happened.]
