Euphie, I'm sorry I am running late with dinner. Tumbles saw something he really liked and ran off after it. Usually I don't keep him on his leash because he's pretty well behaved, but I guess he couldn't resist chase after the ball he saw some kids throwing around. I should be home in a few minutes.

[A happy bark can be heard behind him.]I think

It doesn't take much to keep him happy. All I have to do is throw his ball and he's as happy as can be.

[It's even stranger for him to think of how long you've been in this place.]

He is. Do you think Arthur will ever show up here?

[Sounds disappointed but who knows, stranger things have happened.]

Would you mind getting the door? Tumbles just took off towards it.

[Since the two of them are CG characters, they are pretty much contractually obligated to order pizza whenever they eat out. In one hand he has a pizza box and in the other a chewed and slobbered on ball.

Stops short of the door and stares at her for a moment. Even though he has been doing this for weeks now, there are moments when everything feels surreal to him. His life should be so different now and he should no longer be a man, but a symbol.

But here he is returning "home" and the woman he loves he is greeting him. He knows it's selfish of him but he wants to enjoy this feeling for a little while longer. In the back of his mind he knows it's only a matter of time before the deities send him back, his eternal punishment as Lelouch so adeptly put it, will start soon enough.]

Thank you. Since I kept you waiting, I'll get everything set up and take care of Tumbles.

[Begins to protest but when she kisses him on the cheek he grows silent. Being in the military and serving Lelouch has taught him how to be highly adaptable. He knows that if he continues to act like he did back home that he might draw some suspicion towards Lelouch, should he arrive again or towards himself. But more than that, the reason that he not only looks like he's doing better but actually feels like he's doing better is because of her. He feels better because of moments like these.

There are a lot of things he can't forget, wouldn't want to forget, and can't move past. But when he's with her he's reminded of who he once was. He can never go back to that person but he can bring back aspects of that person. His gaze flickers over to hers and he smiles at her.]

Okay, thank you. If you want to grab the plates I'll go and grab some drinks, so we can get started before the pizza cools off too much.

[If he notices her watching his smile he doesn't say anything about it. Shakes his head as he watches Tumbles earn his name].

I wasn't sure what to get so I went with a supreme pizza. If there's anything on it that you don't like, you can pick it off.

[Grabs a couple of drinks from the fridge as well as a couple of glasses. Then he returns to the kitchen and opens up the pizza box.]

Is everything okay?

[Catches the thoughtful look and wonders if she's not really looking forward to the pizza but is saying otherwise for his sake.]

[Takes a healthy bite out of his pizza and downs it with some of his pop.]
