So I was cleaning off the stairs for the big party tomorrow...
and I found them! I found my size 2 DPNs! Yes, I cleared away like...4 scarves and 3 pairs of mittens from the stairs (apparently my sister and I have issues with wearing the same ones over and over again) and what should be sitting on the second to bottom stair near the cool clothing labels my cousin got me for Christmas but 4 blue DPNs. I looked at them for a moment, took stock of where I knew all my DPNs now resided (seriously, nothing straightened up my needle storage like not being able to find size 2s) took stock of the diminished size of the blue ones sitting there and said "I bet these are my size 2s". I then took them upstairs to show my sister and poke them in my needle sizer...and realized my needle sizer was downstairs by the socks, baby blanket, and bag I've casted on in the past month (I have serious project polygamy issues right now). I went back downstairs to retrieve the bag I cast on (I haven't determined if I'm working on the blanket or the socks this evening, they'll both be going upstairs to hide tomorrow), grabbed the needle sizer, sat down upstairs and lo and behold, they were size 2s.
I feel really stupid for not looking on the stairs long before.
I got the cast list for Crystal Medium! (that student film I got into). Most of the people I've never worked with before, so it'll be fun times getting to know more theatre people, but a couple I have, like the Zembrowski brothers. Both Zach and Matt are in the show which is fabulous since I haven't worked with them since this past fall and I kinda missed them. And of course I know which aunts and uncles are in the show now: Joyce, Donna, Pat, Dee-Dee, Bernie. Which is going to be odd. I've never worked with family before. And then I looked and what familiar name should pop up but a friend of mine's younger sister Mona. Our director Morgan sent out all sorts of character info, and kingdom info (it's a lot of reading material, you have no idea), and told us to send back some sizing info for costuming. Sizing info I don't immediately have within my grasp (I haven't bought a dress in forever, hell if I know what size I am).
And...yeah, it's party central this weekend. My house is going to be full of relatives. Scary.
