I hate packing

I'm not sure if I know of anyone who actually likes packing. I'm making more out of it than I absolutely have to as I only need to pack enough for 3 days, but I hate it all the same. Do I need shorts, do I need pants, is one sweatshirt enough or should I plan for a second in case of a horrible acciden? The list goes on and on and most of all I just dislike picking what I'm going to wear in advance. Perhaps that is the seat of my problem. I enjoy waking up, rolling out of bed and grabbing the first shirt that I see. That shirt is the chosen shirt of the day. If I pack I suddenly have to think about if there's a possibility that we'll go somewhere that it matters if I look nice. I mean, hardly matters what I look like hanging out in my aunt's backyard but if we go to town I'd like to at least look passable.

*sigh*

Also, it would appear after searching and searching...that I don't own a set of size 2 DPNs. It doesn't make sense at all seeing how my aunt had scored a whole set at a rummage sale that ranged all needle sizes 1-5 all with two lengths of straights and a set of DPNs...I found 1, 3, 4, 5 (two sets as I must have bought a set)...but no size 2s...this is very strange to me...Oh! I should check my little piece of paper documenting needle sizes, perhaps I'm wrong about this (in which case the scenario is they were eaten up by the abyss). However, I do get the strange feeling that the size 2s were bent beyond belief and I'd elected to throw them out...this makes me sad as I need size 2s for the socks I'd like to knit on my short vacation and the hard fact is that I don't have them...maybe I'll bring along size 1s and 3s and see if they'll work out just as well.

Hm....

For any of you contemplating watching Hairspray with John Travolta: Don't. Just. Don't. No matter what my friend Kris tells you all the movie isn't worth your time. I wanted to cry every time they had a song because the story would stop dead in its tracks so they could sing a refrain. Over. And Over. And Over again. Not fun.

Serenity, however, Serenity you are more than welcome to watch. It's amusing even if you've never watched the TV series. Which I haven't.
