(Football) This is more like it. This is more like the England I love to watch. This is the England that should be. Finally, they show up.
Great start, scoring within 20 minutes. Wright-Phillips played so so well (totally deserved his MOTM award). So very chuffed to see Owen score. I felt like he was missing a lot during the first half and that if he had scored it would have put his mind at ease and would have boosted his confidence. As it turns out, he scored within the first 10 minutes of the second half, so no worries there. And it was an AMAZING goal. On the twist, sort of on-the-bounce, sort of on-the-volley, and went straight in the back of the net. This is the Michael Owen that we all know and love, the one who doesn't even have to look up at the goal to know where it is.
Micah Richards is so powerful and strong on the right wing. It really won't surprise me if he becomes vital to the back four in the future.
Class stuff, lads. Keep it like this for the Russia game on Weds and maybe we'll have a chance, yeah?
Rugby -- So the World Cup started the other day. England had their first match today, and...eh. We won, but we were playing USA, so we were expected to win. I just get the feeling that when we play South Africa we are gonna get destroyed, if we play like we did today. And it makes me very sad that we don't look to be in any kind of shape to defend the title. This is probably the last time we'll be able to say, "England, World Cup Champions".
Cricket -- Woo!! Win! The whole One-Day series! Win! Awesome!
And...now I have to try to keep awake. Since the Ladies final is at 1am. 1am. Pain.
