Why I love this girl (in case you didn't already know)
Who's the greatest of them all?
So, this is a post on how awesome Victoria Pendleton is, and really, after the other night, she's proven once again that she really IS the best. damn. sprinter. in. the. world.
Which is kinda awesome.
So, it was the final of the Women's Sprint, and the final is the best of 3 races. And her opponent took her to the third race, with both the previous two races being super tight and close all the way round. So when they crossed the finish line on the third race, it was so close that there had to be a photo finish to confirm who won. Which was tough.
And then it was confirmed, and as soon as she heard that, Victoria burst into tears (with relief and everything, after all that hard work and pressure, after struggling to get back to things after the Olympics, after everything, etc).
And didn't stop crying.
And it was ADORABLE.
And I love her even more, if it is possible.
Side note: Rebecca Romero, as much as I loved seeing you being co-commentator this week (and believe me, I bloody did), pleasepleaseplease would you come back to the track sometime soon? I We miss you!
ps. oh yeah, and btw?
