United vs. Arsenal: IT'S A THING OF BEAUTY, BOSS
So, apparently the match this avo' was watched by a billion people around the world. A billion! Good grief!
And yet, there was me all on my tod on the sofa, watching it and crying by the end of it. And screaming expletives at the TV. And cursing the fucking Gooners. Fuckers.
But, okay. It really really was quite an awesome match.
Things that annoyed me A LOT:
Ronaldo being really quiet, bar his goal. Clichy had him down, dammit.
Tevez not really being all awesome at all, actually. Dammit. And I was really hoping for some awesome linkup play and stuff. Goddamn.
Anderson showing the "ugly Brazil" side of his. Like the women, and Cristiane more specifically, he needs to take that shitty part of his game out. Like, right fucking now. Not nice.
GALLAS. FUCKING, lucky as. And our defensive woes. Like Chris Kamera says, "dodgy at the back".
Things that made me quite happy, actually:
EVRA. Being all awesome. Few dodgy moments (especially first half aggression woes), but good grief. His assist for Ronaldo's goal was SUPERB. This is why he comes straight back into the side.
Rooney scoring. Even though he didn't, it wouldn't have gone in had it not been for his run and him getting there. Boy is looking like he could be getting back to his form pre-World Cup 06, maybe even pre-Euro's 04, and all the injuries that followed.
Van der Sar. Just...he really is the best. Honest. Last season was a bit dodgy, but now there can be no doubt. Love that guy.
Hargreaves finally looking fit enough to play some actual games, man. And you know, he actually played GOOD. Which is always a good thing. Need to get Carrick back and fit, though....
All in all: the best two teams in the country. Knew United would have to hold tight, keep them locked out of midfield. Tough to keep it going and then play in the four up front. Wish Scholes would come back, since Anderson worries me slightly with his stupidity sometimes, but. 2-all draw? Yeah, probaly would have taken it at the start of the match.
Can't help but think we were robbed of the full 3 points, though.
