[ the voice that breaks the silence is incredulous and clearly male ] ......What sort of nonsense movie was that supposed to be?
[ And then there's the second voice, girly and sounding almost as though she's quacking at some points. ] Hey! I didn't think that was nonsense! I liked it!
[ a scoff ] I'm not surprised. You don't make much sense, either. I'm sure it was easier for you to relate to the movie that way... or to the air-headed princess, at least.
Buttercup isn't air-headed! She's the most beautiful woman in the world! AND she's brave!
Hmph. Quick to give up, if you ask me. She had so little faith in her so-called 'true love' that it was appalling.
W-well! But...! She thought he was dead, so...
[ his tone turns sarcastic ] So agree to marry some pompous idiot she doesn't even like? Smart choice.
Well...yeah, I guess that was sort of dumb.
Not like the rest of the movie was any better. I don't see what there is to like about it. What a poor depiction of a 'love story'. ...And everything else it tried and failed to include, for that matter. Like the poor excuses for fight scenes. Pathetic and not at all engaging.
Aww, but...but I LIKED it! I thought it was sweet and romantic!
And you're simple. You can look past the fact that this story looks like it was written by someone who was drunk. Knocking on someone's door and asking for a miracle? Like it's something you can order? Come on. Even fantasy has its limitations. What the hell.
But isn't that what Drosselmeyer used to do...?
...Right. My point exactly. Someone as twisted as that old lunatic would fit RIGHT in with this mess of a movie. [ slight pause ] Though that would assure there was no happy ending.
Right! This one had a happy one! They even kissed in the end!
And you can overlook the entire poor plot, execution, and lacking characters because there's a happy ending? [ a snort ] Maybe this move DOES suit you, after all.
HEY! Wh-what's that supposed to mean?!
[ mocking tone ] I'm sure you can figure it out if you try hard enough.
...Grr! [Hear that thumping sound? That's Ahiru wacking him over the head with a pillow.] I'm not a moron!!
Hey! You-- [ and that's a whack back, after he's snatched the offending object away from her ] I offer to watch this ridiculous movie with you and now you want to get violent over it?
It isn't ridiculous! It's a wonderful love story! And I didn't pick this movie so you could make fun of me with it!
[ gruff noise as he pushes the pillow against her face ] What? You're the one who asked me what I thought of it in the first place, moron. I'm not going to lie.
Mmmph! [ yanks the pillow back ] Okay then, what sort of movie would YOU like to watch?
[ brief pause ] ...I'd rather read a book. Particularly if all of these 'movie' things are as poorly done as this one.
[ siiiigh ] What I mean is, what's the sort of romance you think is good? That "Titanic" one?
[ sputtering and stammering, very defensive, as that question was unexpected ] W-What---!? No. I haven't watched that. And I don't care about any of these silly, girly concepts!
But you care about romance, don't you?!
What does that have to do with--- [ a sudden, startled gasp interrupts mid-sentence, which turns into an accusatory tone ] Did you turn my computer on!?
Huh? What? It's on?--HEY!! Why'd you assume I did it?!
Nevermind, moron! It's right there---Just shut it off! You can do that much, can't you?
Um...um...yeah! I can do it...You mean this button?
Which--- [ another gasp, urgency reflected by his voice ] NO. NOT that one----! Dammit! I'll get it---Get your hand OFF---!
[ Voice post cuts off - as Ahiru happened to hit the 'send' button. ]
[ ooc: So, wishing to completely ignore Saturday's curse, which he spent dead (therefore no postings on the network), Fakir decided to distract himself by offering to watch a movie with Ahiru - namely one she had wanted see due to a previous curse: The Princess Bride. While Ahiru liked it, Fakir pretty much WTF-ed at the whole movie. XD Personally, I'm with Ahiru. I loved it a lot. ♥ Commentary under cut was done on IM by myself and Ahiru-mun~ (Color-coded: Fakir = green, Ahiru = blue) ]
