I need to work hard on defenses. No one is going to consider me a force to be reckoned with if all I can do is run in the way of an attack. It's time I build up my strengths as best I can and keep working at it. You can't let your guard down in a place like this.
I think I'll start with buying some new ink and parchment. That's as good a place to start as any. Then perhaps look into brushing up my sword skill and poke around on the network for word of other possible methods I could look into.
I won't let her die again. I can protect this place and everyone in it. And I will.
...Although waking up in my bed with her and being handcuffed together was certainly an experience I won't forget any time soon. Goddamn city. Bloody give me a heart-attack, why don't you.
