This post has compelled me to go get Chinese food

I'm still in the process of putting together my 'curriculum vitae', apparently a fancy word for resume, for Nanjing University.  Because I have pretty limited experience teaching English, and no real qualifications other than a bachelors (hopefully), I need to make every little thing I've done count. But  man, oh man, I want that job. As far as I can tell, a job teaching at the University level won't pay as much as, say, teaching at an English language school. Because the language schools are businesses, they have more progressive teaching methods and tend to hire people with specific experience in English education. The nice thing about teaching at a University is that they, hopefully, will be a big help with housing and other facilities, including taking Chinese. Although it's not entirely impossible to get an apartment on your own in China, and some language schools may even help out, I'd rather not have to worry about it for my first year. Also, actually working at Nanjing U would make taking Chinese there all the more convenient.
What sucks is that although I need all my application materials in by the end of January, considering that the academic year doesn't start until Sept. 1, I won't be if surprised if I don't hear anything from them for awhile.
In non China related news, I may be heading out west with Zack on his way to Seattle. It would be a really dope trip and something I would love to do. If I can figure out all the financial shit and make sure it won't put too big of a dent in my school schedule, I'm there. Stops will include Minneapolis, the Bad Lands, Missoula, Portland and Seattle. Heey!
