My year in NY, coming to an end...
Well, it seems appropriate that my final night in my White Plains apartment I should post about my fabulous year in NY... I was just reading through some old entries from this time last year, since I was going through a big move, and who would have thought that I would be making another major move so soon? To sum up 2005, here's the same survey I filled out last year about '04, with my updated answers for this year of course... Enjoy!
As of tomorrow I will be "homeless" until next Wednesday when I move into my new apartment in Cincinnati. The movers are coming in the morning, then tomorrow evening I will head down to the city to stay at Mindy and Anthony's on the Upper East Side until Monday, when I leave to head to Pittsburgh to see Tori, then on to Cinci on Wed morning. PS - Thank you to everyone who made my year in NY incredible. I will DEFINITELY be back to visit, and who knows, I may end up back here someday. I would never have had such a great time without you, please come visit anytime!

My 23rd Year:
1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
Lots of things - moved to NY, took a trip to San Diego with the CGs (plus PZ), joined the Village Lions, etc.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't really believe in making New Year's resolutions, every year is to each it's own.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, Shu from work
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thank God
5. What countries did you visit?
Mexico
6. What would you like to have had in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
More money
7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Too many to name... 2005 was a very interesting year
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Successfully completing my first year at work in a real job
9. What was your biggest failure?
Nothing really comes to mind right now
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Broke a rib playing rugby in September (first 15's game with the Lions)
11. What was the best thing you bought?
2004 Toyota Highlander
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
All my new friends in NY
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Appalled, yes. Depressed, no. Something about a Savannah "incident"...
14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Trips to Clemson, San Diego, 4th of July trip to Charleston and MYB, Cinci trip for Mindy's wedding

i. happier or sadder? Happier
ii. thinner or fatter? The same
iii. richer or poorer? Richer, I was a poor college student last year

Skiing

Nothing, I had a great year

Already passed, but I spent it with the fam at home and went to see Munich per tradition

Not that kind of love

None, what constitutes a one-night stand anyways? Just hooking up? The big nasty?

The OC, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Hate is a stong word.. I don't hate anyone

I partly read Harry Potter... still have yet to finish

My favorite song of the moment is Bon Jovi's "Have a Nice Day," does that count?

Great friends in NYC

To stay working with Abhar and Mindy

Turned 23. Went out in NYC to Mo's Caribbean Bar & Grill on the UES, and then barhopped downtown to some Irish place with Maria, Maria's friend from hs, Mindy, Anthony, and Karen.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Knowing I had more time in NY
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
Preppy and casual
34. What kept you sane?
Friends
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Tom Brady

None stirred me THAT much

All my new friends in NY... Mindy, Village Lions, etc.

Time flies when you're having fun. <--- still true for '05 -- Don't take places or things for granted, because you never know when you have to leave them behind.
