Hi all!
Does anyone know of, or would anyone be interested in a Dragon Age themed fitness/weight loss community? I've been looking for ways to motivate myself, and I stumbled upon some RP groups on SparkPeople.com (a weightloss community.) If you're unfamiliar with the concept, the idea is basically that you make a character and level up/complete quests by participating in real-life health and fitness goals.
For an example, to become a Grey Warden, you'd need to complete certain requirements - walk such and such a distance (for example, using the freaking AWESOME Fereldan Distance calculations, you could calculate how many miles or hours you would need to walk to get from the Circle Tower to Vigil's Keep to join up), take the Joining (try a healthy food you thought you wouldn't like (haha, get it?), and meet a certain water intake criteria,) etc. etc. You could level up based on achieved goals like % body weight lost, inches lost, strength level achieved, distance run, etc. The details would obviously have to be worked out ( : Meanwhile, characters could be RPing their journey on message boards or on their journal pages. SparkPeople is nice because all the trackers are built in.
What do you think? Anybody else up to it? All this time sitting in front of the computer has made me an even squishier wizard than usual! ; )
