I know. How many ways can I cut his heart out in this fic? But I feel like these are necessary steps for him to go through so he can get over River.

Oh! Oh this was...

The internal struggle for Alistair broke my heart. God, I've been there and loving some one who is in love with some one else just plain sucks. I just want to give him cookies and hugs...and other things.

Yea for Brigid, though. She rocks.

I know. :'( In this case, it's made worse by the whole political marriage thing. How can he start to move on when he's tied to someone he can never love?

I think he really needs to see that he is attractive to someone else, and just to have a good time with someone else. That will be the first step to getting over River .

I agree, I can't imagine how awful it would be to be in a loveless marriage. Hopefully Alistair can find some passion and happiness somewhere. Go get him Brigid!
