Summary: As Alistair and Wynne head west for Highever, Alistair is overcome with memories, while Wynne is nervous about their impending reunion.
Notes: This is Chapter 5 of my Warden of His Heart series, which didn't start off as a longer work but is ending up that way. If you haven't been reading, the short summary is: Elissa and Alistair negotiate a rocky relationship after he ascends the throne without her.

(The dragon's head reared up in front of him. Alistair bashed at its nose with his shield, stunning it momentarily. His next slash of his sword blinded it, and the enormous head flailed madly in front of him.)
